I am a science producer and editor with a passion for filmmaking and an abiding curiosity about the natural world. I've had the pleasure of working with, and learning from, some amazing people at outlets like NOVA, Nature and KIRO 7 News in my hometown of Seattle, Washington. In 2008 I graduated from the Science, Health and Environmental Reporting program at New York University. For the past two years, I have been the sole video producer for Scientific American, producing everything from explainer videos to news shows to promos. While you're here, be sure to check out some of my previous work, my resume, and my blog where I occasionally pontificate about the state of science media and share tips and tricks on the dark art of filmmaking.
